Abstract

The text contains key passages from a lecture on the Rusyn question given by the influential Hungarian politician Miklós Kozma at the Association of Foreign Professional Correspondents on May 23, 1939. This document is important for understanding the motives of the Hungarian national and cultural policy of Hungary in Subcarpathian Rus’, which was aimed at supporting the local Rusyn identity and preventing the participation of the population of the region in the Russophile and Ukrainophile national movements.
