Abstract

The critical review examines the book by Austrian historian B. Kuzmany, which is devoted to the history of non-territorial autonomy in Europe. This work summarizes the experience of different countries (Russian Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Baltic States and other countries that emerged in the Interwar period) and analyzes the political, intellectual and cultural factors that influenced the development of autonomist ideas.
