The publication significantly widens our knowledge on the Moscow period of life of the prominent political and military leader of the Right-Bank Ukraine Hetman Petr Doroshenko, who capitulated to the army of prince Grigory Romodanovsky and the Hetman of the Left-Bank Ukraine Ivan Samoylovych. Doroshenko handed them over the Hetman’s regalia and was sent to Moscow under the military escort. There he was granted the profitable estate of Jaropolets. In the register book of court cases of the Little Russia office there were a lot of notes for 1691–1696 about documents, presented to the office, that concerned mainly different lawsuits against Doroshenko. Those materials reveal characteristics of conflicts between the former hetman and his neighbors, Podmoskovye landlords, which concerned some disputable lands and harboring of fugitive peasants as well as shed light on interactions between Doroshenko and the voivodes of Volokolamsk and his property relations with other noblemen.
